IGT utökar sin onlinekasinosvit genom att köpa iSoftBet för 160 miljoner euro

IGT Plc has moved to expand its B2B online casino offering by securing the final terms for the acquisition of Maltese online casino solutions provider iSoftBet.

IGT's board notified investors this afternoon that it has agreed a cash deal worth €160 million to acquire iSoftBet, which will "double IGT PlayDigital's content library to approximately 225 proprietary games".

In addition, IGT will continue to expand its online casino inventory by acquiring iSoftBet's own aggregation platform for distributing third-party games to customers, as well as developer tools for promotion and data-driven user engagement.

The deal represents IGT's first online casino-focused acquisition since its former GTECH division acquired mobile gaming provider Probability Inc in 2014 for £20 million.

Publishing its results for the 2021 financial year, IGT said it made a net cash profit of €950 million after completing the sale of its Italian gambling subsidiary Lottomatica to the Gamenet Group. The company said all profits for the 2021 financial year would be used to rebuild IGT's new online gambling profile under new group CEO Vince Saduschi.

Closing his first M&A deal as IGT CEO, Sadusky said, "The acquisition of iSoftBet will provide market-proven proprietary digital content, enhanced game aggregation capabilities, scalable advertising tools, analytics and strong creative capabilities for IGT PlayDigital operations.

"This will enhance PlayDigital's competitiveness with a proven and complementary content portfolio in Europe and North America as we deliver best-in-class games and technology to our fast-growing customers."

Launched in 2010, iSoftBet has become a leading games and aggregator solutions provider that now serves a B2B customer base of more than 260 operators, with a range of 125 proprietary games and access to more than 4,600 third-party titles through its games aggregation platform.

The Maltese business had revenues of around €30m and EBITDA of €8m in financial year 2021.

Dealers expects to complete the acquisition by the second quarter of 2022, when IGT will expand its online casino bonus and gaming operations to include 350 iSoftBet employees operating in 20 European jurisdictions.
