Absolute security is a myth in today’s internet-savvy world
A detailed discussion on cloud and network visualization in India, took place in Gurugram on 25th July, 2017. The discussion included an in-depth knowledge sharing about the current scenario, the need of cloud and network visualization and virtual security concerns in India.
The panel witnessed by the masters of cloud and network of the industry included Shyam Prabhakar Mardikar, Chief Technology Officer, Bharti Airtel; Col Mahesh Khera (Retd); Vikram Tiwathia, Deputy Director General, COAI; Jalaj Choudhri, EVP (network), Reliance Communications Limited; Vivek Bhargava, Director – Product Marketing, Service Provider Networks, Oracle Communications; Pawas Agarwal, General Manager & CISO, Aircel Limited; Azhar Sayeed, Global Chief Architect – Telco, Ted Hat inc.; Joel Sequeira, Technical Specialist, SUSE, India; Madhav Chablani, Consulting CIO, TippingEdge Consulting & Chairmen, Cloud Security Alliance (NCR).
In the inaugural session, the speakers talked about “Digital Transformation in India and the impact of Cloud & Virtualization”. The speakers shared about the real situation and the work structure of the cloud. They also said, “In India people are not worried about the virtual security and that’s one of the reasons they face lots of security issues and unsafe information sharing.”
In the session Pawas Agarwal, General Manager & CISO, Aircel Limited, said “As a telecom person, it is our responsibility to secure the data related to our subscribers, but the major problem is while downloading or entering into a new application/ website, customers get agreed to the terms and conditions without reading them, which makes the security works difficult for us.”
Speaker Madhav Chablani, Consulting CIO, TippingEdge Consulting & Chairman, Cloud Security Alliance (NCR), said, “Absolute security is a myth; we need to refine our principle and patterns.”
