SUSE and VMware extend their Partnership
SUSE has extended its partnership with VMware to make SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for VMware available through VMware vCloud Hybrid Service. Thousands of VMware customers have already taken advantage of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for VMware, experiencing its high performing and cost effective solution for running virtualized Linux workloads in their data centers. Those customers will have the option when executing their cloud strategy of running their workloads on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server in the VMware vCloud Hybrid Service, giving them greater flexibility for optimizing their IT resources.
Extending our partnership with VMware into the cloud is a boon for enterprise customers. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server is an ideal guest operating system for running Linux workloads in any virtual environment, notably VMware. Customers will be able to get these same benefits through VMware vCloud Hybrid Service,” said Michael Miller, Vice-President of Global Alliances and Marketing, SUSE.
