Canon's latest entry-level DSLR - EOS 1300D

The EOS 1300D is Canon’s latest entry-level DSLR. It’s a minor update which retains the older model’s body with 18 Megapixel sensor and viewfinder with the same set of stills and movie shooting modes. The new feature in EOS 1300D is it has both Wi-Fi and NFC-ready. You can connect it to other NFC-ready devices just by putting them close together perfectly convenient for uploading quality images for sharing on social media. With the Camera Connect app, you can adjust camera settings and can capture images remotely. The EOS 1300D has 18-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, a native ISO range of 100-6400, and is capable of 3fps burst shooting. The image processor has been bumped up to Canon's Digic 4+. The EOS 1300D can shoot in JPEG, RAW and JPEG+RAW modes, and video recording maxes out at 1920x1080p at 30fps. The sensor has a total of nine autofocus points including one cross-type point in the centre. The EOS 1300D is capable of some good low-light imagery if you play around with settings in manual mode. You get other shooting modes such as Creative Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports, Food and Night Portrait.

Recommendation:

The Canon EOS Rebel T6/1300D is a good option to takes nice photos. If you’re looking for your first DSLR, the Canon EOS 1300D is capable, well-priced introduction to creative photography. The 1300D’s wireless connectivity and excellent usability along with Canon’s huge range of optics mean that if you choose to go with the red team, you’re unlikely to be disappointed. The camera's low light capabilities are limited and using of live view for any reason is a real pain, but it takes very nice images in good light. Overall, it’s reasonable price point makes it a good buy for beginners.
