Texas holdem is a popular poker game
Texas holdem is a popular poker game that can be played with as few as two players or as many as 10. The game is played with a deck of 52 cards, and the goal is to make the best five-card hand possible using any combination of the seven cards in your hand and the five community cards on the table.
The player who makes the best hand wins the pot. In Texas holdem, there are three different types of hands: high card, pair, and three of a kind. Here's an example of how a hand would be ranked:
High card - A hand with no pairs or other combinations. The highest card in the hand determines the rank of the hand.
Pair - Two cards of the same rank. The rank of the pair is determined by the rank of the two individual cards.
Three of a kind - Three cards of the same rank. The rank of the three of a kind is determined by the rank of the three individual cards.
The game begins with each player being dealt two cards face down, and then there are five community cards dealt face up in the middle of the table. Players can use any combination of their two personal cards and the five community cards to make their best five-card hand. After all players have had a chance to look at their hands, there is a betting round.
