BJP's Subramanian Swamy comments on Trump’s India visit
US President Donald Trump along with his family is on a two- day visit to India. He is currently in Ahmedabad, and shall then proceed to the capital city Delhi. The guests have experienced a warm welcome from PM Modi, but not all are really happy to seem Trump in India.
Senior BJP MP Swamy on Saturday said US President Donald Trump's visit will not benefit India but is aimed at boosting the American economy. "There may be some defence agreements. That'll also boost his country. Above all, we're paying for the defence equipment and he isn't giving it for free," he added.
Trump is on India visit for two days from today. He will be visiting Ahmedabad and capital city Delhi during his tour.
The two-day state visit by an American President, comes ahead of his potential re-election - the US votes in November and just months after PM Modi's "Howdy, Modi!" event in Texas last year. Trump's visit also comes amid tense trade talks between the two countries.
