Microsoft Teams coming up with 24-hour Video Calls for free
Microsoft is coming up with an all-day video calling option for its Microsoft Teams users. This feature will let the users to get on a call without having to pay a single penny. It supports up to 300 participants.
At present most of the video streaming services have a time limit such as Google Meet has a 60-minute limit, Cisco Webex has a 5-minute limit etc. but Microsoft intends to put no limits on family calls this holiday season. While Microsoft may be a bit late in pushing its video conferencing service to the public, this move has come at the right time and may help the company gain some traction.
To initiate a video call with Microsoft Teams, the host needs to have a Microsoft account. Once logged in, the host can simply share the meeting link to friends and family who can then join the meeting via the Web for free without even needing a Microsoft account.
With this global pandemic, the use of these services has increased. It has become the most convenient alternative to physical meetings and has now become the very tool with which families and businesses are keeping in touch during such "distant" times.
