Rubrik Brings Agent Cloud for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to Strengthen AI Governance and Security
2025-12-02
Rubrik has introduced Rubrik Agent Cloud for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, a new offering designed to help enterprises monitor, govern and remediate the actions of AI agents deployed across multi-cloud environments. Announced at AWS re:Invent 2025, the integration adds a dedicated oversight and control layer at a time when autonomous AI agents are becoming more powerful—and more capable of triggering real-world consequences if left unmanaged.
The new service is built on the Rubrik Platform, which combines data, identity and application context to give organizations greater visibility into how AI agents operate. By integrating directly with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Rubrik enables customers to track agent behaviour in real time, enforce guardrails on what agents can access or modify, and reverse unintended actions before they escalate into operational incidents.
“Amazon Bedrock AgentCore gives developers the flexibility to build and deploy intelligent agents using their choice of AI model or framework,” said Devvret Rishi, General Manager of AI at Rubrik. “With Rubrik Agent Cloud, organizations will have a single plane of glass for the complete AI agent lifecycle—one that enables customers to see every agent in action, enforce policies in real time, and instantly rewind mistakes before they become catastrophic errors.”
The rise of agentic AI tools has created new security challenges for enterprises. While such agents drive efficiency and automate complex tasks, they can also take destructive actions if not centrally governed. Rubrik pointed to research showing that 72% of business leaders have reported a rise in cyber risks this year, with nearly half of those risks tied to the expanding capabilities of generative AI-driven threats. The company argues that this reality makes an agent-level control layer essential for modern cyber resilience strategies.
Rubrik Agent Cloud’s capabilities span the full lifecycle of AI agents—from monitoring and understanding their operational footprint, to governing how they behave and what they can access, to remediating errors through Rubrik’s Agent Rewind technology. Introduced earlier this year, Agent Rewind allows organizations to roll back unwanted or harmful agent-generated actions without downtime or data loss. The integration with Bedrock AgentCore is intended to give enterprises a more controlled environment for scaling AI automation while maintaining strong security and operational governance.
Rubrik said the new service adheres to AWS best practices and supports the full continuum of AI agent needs, including performance management and simulation. While not all features are available immediately, Rubrik Agent Cloud for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore is expected to become broadly accessible in the coming months. The company is offering previews at AWS re:Invent 2025.
In a separate announcement, Rubrik revealed it has achieved the AWS Resilience Software Competency in the Recovery category, an accreditation that recognises partners delivering validated solutions that improve application availability and resilience using AWS services. The designation underscores Rubrik’s positioning as a key player in safeguarding mission-critical systems and ensuring consistent uptime across cloud environments.
Together, the new integration and AWS competency signal Rubrik’s expanding role at the intersection of security, resilience and AI operations—an area gaining urgency as enterprises deploy more autonomous agents across their digital ecosystems.
