BenQ nScreen
Compared with traditional desktop case, nScreen will show the screen with the host, as well as speaker, microphone, camera, wireless cards. Four are seamlessly integrated interface to card reader and so cleverly into the soft thin LCD screen. It changes the traditional desktop computer’s annoying lines and chassis has also changed!
Getting rid of complicated cables and portals, nScreen allows users to start enjoying the Internet after plugging in and switching on the machine through its simple installation and user interface. The nScreen PCs perfectly integrate a computer inside a high- definition (HD) widescreen LCD with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
The BenQ nScreen i221 is an all-in-one desktop designed for novice users, such as seniors and children. This desktop features an AMD Sempron processor at 1.5GHz, an ATI Radeon X1200 graphics card and Windows XP. 1.3MP webcam, wireless networking and a 4-in-1 card reader are also included. Various memory and hard drive configurations are available. BenQ has included a customized user interface to appeal to the youngest and oldest users, offering large font sizes and a basic and a non-tiered folder system. Other changes include large icons for straightforward access to installed applications. For those who are hard of hearing, the computer system automatically optimizes frequencies known to be difficult to hear. On the left side of the display, users can add an optional telephone handset, compatible with Skype. On the right hand side of the display is a large volume knob and brightness up/down controls.
Operating the devices couldn’t be simpler. For example, a knob on the bottom right of the computer front functions as a power button and a volume control, much like a TV. Users can also buy an optional nScreen handset, which may be used together with a built-in 1.3M webcam as a simple Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) videophone to see and chat with families and friends more conveniently and affordably.
Another advanced feature of the BenQ nScreen is its instant photo-sharing software that keeps users updated with all the latest photos of their families and allows them to share precious moments with utmost convenience.
nScreen has a host of additional features. For seniors, the nScreen’s virtual magnifier function makes reading easier. It also comes with a senior mode to lower high audio frequencies and makes sound clearer. Upgrading the nScreen has also been made easy with the use of an easily detachable back cover, which requires no screw drivers.
Using up to 80-per cent lesser power than a standard PC, the BenQ nScreen i91 and i221 are available through all BenQ dealers in India, at prices starting from Rs.26,999.
