Readiness For The Cyber and Data Challenge 2021

Businesses around the world are proving their resilience by enabling remote workers during the pandemic. Many organizations implemented remote access methods; as a result, their security operations centers are now seeing a spike in cyberattacks that take advantage of remote access vulnerabilities. It is true that, keeping data secure is more challenging and more important than ever.

As businesses are considering how to return to some semblance of full speed in an unstable environment. At this time, it’s easy to underestimate and even overlook the importance of cyber risks when we’re understandably focused on employees’ physical safety and security.
The virtual event will showcase on the power of digital transformation across industries. At the same time, complexity and vulnerabilities in IoT systems create significant cybersecurity, data privacy, business resiliency, third-party and compliance risks. It is an opportunity for the technology companies to win the confidence of their business partners in the country, by showcasing their capabilities as the power of Digital is here. CDS 2021 can help you identify, manage and mitigate the digital risk that stems from using connected devices and systems to run your business. The issue of cyberattacks is one of national importance. Cyber-attacks have risen this year since home networks don’t have the same level of security protection that is accorded to corporate networks. Let’s explore for a future-gazing conversation about how technology, culture and data come together to reimagine the future of work, human collaboration and connection in the forthcoming cyber and data security summit 2021.

A million dollar question is on Does India Inc Take Cybersecurity Seriously?
Importance of CDS 2021
In 2020 we have seen, as against an attack every 19 seconds, the cybersecurity firm indicated that there would be a cyberattack every 11 seconds. Talking about failures, Google systems failing for a few hours showed the world how dependent our lives had become on one tech company. Although Google did not issue a detailed statement, a few months ago, the company had claimed that it was the target of one of the biggest distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Sony had to pull down the game from its network because of bugs and latency issues. In India, 69% of Firms Face Serious Cyber Attacks in India and there was a 22% rise in cyber-attack in India on IoT deployments. India has faced the most number of attacks in the IoT department this year. In fact, India has been consecutively facing cyberattacks, the second time in the row. Cyber criminals have adapted advanced cyberattack techniques for their targeted end-users. Various business sectors and geographical locations have faced recent cyber-attack in India. Most of the sectors starting from BFSI, Healthcare, Pharma, Government sector, UIDAI Aadhar, ATM system and SIM swap scam were hacked.
Experts warn that these attacks are only going to get worse as cyber criminals become more sophisticated and more devices are connected to the Internet. The private sector and the federal government need to collaborate in order to combat the rise of cyber threats. In addressing cyber vulnerabilities, however, protections are needed to guard the privacy of we Indians. There is sense of urgency that Technologies companies, Technology decision makers and eco-system to come together under one platform to discuss, deliberate to find the newer ways to secure and create awareness in the Indian industries. CDS is the right answer to it for showcasing the tech innovations to the end customers and the channel eco-system in India. Hence, it is an unique event not to be missed out.
Looking forward for your support to bring the summit an eye opening for the corporates into Cyber and Data Security companies playing in the country.

How To Secure Six Strategic Priority Sectors

Data Protection refers to the set of privacy laws, policies and procedures that aim to minimise intrusion into one's privacy caused by the collection, storage and dissemination of personal data.

Judiciary : Experts suggest digitization of legal records to ensure data privacy. There has to be a legislation to ensure data privacy, digitisation of legal records and higher budgetary allotment for the judicial sector are some of the recommendations made by academicians and legal experts to improve the state of the law in the country.

Cyber Policing: The role of the police in fighting cybercrime and the problems of addressing the new threats in this area, the summit is focused on the opportunities for developing new tools to meet the challenges, capacity building and possibilities for cooperation and problems faced by the specialist police cyber-crime units.

BFSI: It is imperative for financial sector to spend on cyber security. The financial sector has become the main target for cyber-attacks because funds are now digitally stored and transferred. Without sound cyber security measures in place, a bank’s sensitive data could be at risk. Experts point out that the global pandemic crisis is going to compound the cyber risk due to the sudden spurt of online working.

Hospitality: Hospitality is one of the India’s fastest-growing industries, One of the industries with the highest risk of security breaches in the hospitality industry. A large volume of customer data is handled on a daily basis, including card details, names and addresses and store the majority of their secure information on computers, which means their IT infrastructure needs to be able to restrict unauthorised access and prevent breaches.

Automotive: Computer attacks are now a clear and present danger for car drivers, owners, dealers, manufacturers, and suppliers. Increased automation, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle to-infrastructure communications, and advances in autonomous driving add computer security and data privacy to reliability. Organized crime has always been a threat to vehicles, and is now a significant threat actor in the cybersecurity space, and possibly ahead of researchers in their technical capability.

IT & ITeS: Technologies and customer needs are evolving in the country. The security of the future is a combination of people, knowledge and technology. The IT-ITES sector will see a huge demand of trained professionals who are not only well versed with IT fundamentals but also have an aptitude for working in this demanding and highly rewarding field.
