Amazon launches Echo Show 8 in India

Amazon has announced the all-new Echo Show 8, the latest addition to the Echo Show family with an 8-inch HD screen, stereo sound and a camera with a built-in shutter for ₹12,999. It is available for pre-order today at https://www.amazon.in/echoshow8 and will start shipping from 26 February, 2020.
Echo Show 8 is a perfect gadget for your home to watch shows, movies, news briefs, sports highlights, listen to music, sing along with on-screen lyrics, make hands-free calls, and even entertain your child with nursery rhymes. With an 8" HD screen and stereo sound, simply ask Alexa to play episodes of your favourite show or explore videos from the kids’ category on Amazon Prime Video.

Echo Show 8 is a visual treat with its 8-inch HD screen and stereo sound. Just ask Alexa to show the latest movies or award-winning TV shows from Amazon Prime Video. You can also watch your favourite TV shows on Voot or music videos from Hungama Music. Enjoy a variety of premium HD video with simple voice commands.
Sing along with on-screen lyrics
The screen of your Echo Show 8 will now come alive with lyrics when you ask Alexa to play a song from Amazon Prime Music. Go on and plan that Karaoke night already! Take your entertainment a step further by also streaming premium audio from Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana, Hungama and more. To get started say “Alexa, play songs from Gully Boy" or “Alexa, Bollywood ke top gaane bajaoo".
Catch-up on the latest news and trending topics
Your Echo Show 8 shows video snippets about trending topics from around the world. Alexa brings a wide range of information based on news, sports or trending topics. Ask for the latest sports information, including scores, schedules, tournament rankings, statistics, and more. To get started say “Alexa, what’s the news?”, or “Alexa, India ka score kya hua hai?".
Make hands-free video calls
Stay in touch with your closest friends and family with hands-free video calls to Skype, Echo devices with screen or smartphones with the Alexa app. Use drop-in feature to check on your kids or parents, by instantly connecting to Echo Show 8 via the Alexa app - just like an intercom. Fun time with kids is just a voice command away with Echo Show 8. Plug it in any area of the home where the kids decide to make their play area.
