CES: Where Smart Glasses Meet Smart Support
2021-03-20The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is by far the high point of the year for many product companies. We are especially excited for this year as LogMeIn will be joining in on the fun in Vegas. Our Xively team will have a booth (#40063 Sands Expo) showcasing some of the great innovations built on the Xively Connected Product Management platform, and the Rescue team will be there demoing Rescue Lens – sharing space with one of our newest and most innovative partners –Vuzix Corporation.
Vuzix is an award winning and leading developer of smart glasses and video eye wear products for the consumer, enterprise, and industrial markets. The company’s products include personal display devices that offer a high-quality portable viewing experience. The Vuzix M100 Smart Glasses, which will be demoed at CES this year, is an Android-based wearable that includes a monocular display, onboard processor, recording features, wireless capability and a wide variety of apps including the ability to create custom apps to suit virtually any need.
So why the partnership? The combination of the Vuzix Smart Glasses – which are basically a wearable computer - with the live interactive video support of Rescue Lens makes for a perfect match. Wearables are the hottest of consumer trends, but many companies are also leveraging wearable displays to improve the process for their field teams. Combining the Vuzix M100 Smart glasses with Rescue Lens gives these teams the ability to provide hands-free support while simultaneously streaming video back to home base.
Vuzix and LogMeIn Rescue - two companies on the leading edge of innovation - have come together to give new owners of Vuzix M100 glasses, 12 months of Rescue Lens installed for free - opening new possibilities and opportunities for hands-free workflows.
We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with Vuzix and add yet another great dimension to what they are already offering. If you’re attending CES this week, come check us out at Vuzix’s Booth #13246 where you can watch Rescue Lens in action.
