Dassault Systèmes has signed a statement of Intent (SOI) with NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) to support women-led startups focusing on disruptive innovation, social impact, and new product development. Florence Verzelen, Executive Vice President in charge of Industry, Marketing & Sustainability, Dassault Systèmes met with Anna Roy, Program Director, Women Entrepreneurship Platform, NITI Aayog to discuss the particulars and the future prospects of the collaboration at NITI Aayog, Women Entrepreneurship Platform Office, New Delhi, India.
The collaboration will focus on motivating aspiring women entrepreneurs to start their businesses, providing knowledge and ecosystem access to them, and offering hands-on support to entrepreneurs in setting up and scaling up businesses.
The selected women startups will be entitled to benefits and mentorship opportunities mentioned in the SOI between NITI Aayog / WEP and Dassault Systèmes. Selected startups will participate in joint events, hackathons and challenges with Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog, gain access to Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Lab startup acceleration program, participate in Dassault Systemes’ national and global events, and connect with Dassault Systèmes’ worldwide customers, partners and technology collaborators wherever applicable.
The WEP is a first-of-its-kind, unified access portal which brings together women from different parts of India to build a nurturing ecosystem that enables them to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations. WEP achieves this by facilitating relevant information and services through key partnerships. The idea of the platform was announced as WEP at the conclusion of the 8th Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in 2017 by NITI AAYOG, to help resolve the information asymmetry that exists in the ecosystem.
