Padukone announced via Instagram that users in India, the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand can now interact with Meta AI using her voice, bringing a more personal and engaging touch to the technology
Bollywood icon Deepika Padukone has partnered with Meta to become the voice of Meta AI, the company’s artificial intelligence assistant, now available across several countries. This makes her one of the first Indian celebrities to lend her voice to a global AI platform.
Padukone shared the announcement via a video on Instagram, expressing her excitement. “Okay, so this is pretty cool I think! I’m now part of Meta AI and you can chat with my voice in English across India, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand,” she wrote in the caption. The integration allows users in these regions to interact with Meta AI using her voice, adding a more familiar and engaging tone to the technology.
Expanding presence on-screen and in tech
Known for her global influence and strong digital presence, Deepika’s collaboration with Meta aligns with the growing trend of tech companies partnering with entertainment figures to humanize AI interfaces. The move not only expands Meta AI’s appeal but also positions Padukone as a digital trailblazer among Indian celebrities.
On the cinematic front, the actor was last seen in the futuristic thriller Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. She will next appear alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s King, marking another reunion after their hit film Pathaan. She is also set to collaborate with director Atlee and superstar Allu Arjun in a pan-India project currently titled AA22X26.
