F-Secure and Globe Telecom, the leading telecommunications operator in the Philippines, have inked a deal to provide safe personal cloud services to Globe’s mobile subscribers. With F-Secure-backed Globe Cloud, subscribers have a safe place to store their photos, videos, documents and other files. They can also integrate content to Globe Cloud from other online services, all in one place.
“We are happy to add Globe to the list of telecoms who are benefiting from our personal cloud offering. Personal cloud services are known to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction. This is a service people will use every day, so it is a great way for Globe to maintain and nurture their customer relationships,” said Paul Palmer, Vice-President, Asia-Pacific, F-Secure.
Globe Cloud is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 8 smartphones and tablets, and for PC and Mac computers and laptops. Currently, Globe mobile subscribers receive 1GB of free cloud storage space. Globe also plans to make the service available to broadband subscribers in the future.
