The stakes for HID Global in India are high.
HID Global is a vendor to reckon with in the space. The company is gearing up for explosive growth in the security and surveillance market. As a matter of fact, HID Global is a trusted source for innovative products, services, solutions, and know-how related to the creation, use, and management of secure identities for millions of customers around the world.

What technologies is your organization focusing?
HID Global's main focus is driving the next generation of access control globally through our new iCLASS SE (iCLASS SIO-Enabled) platform that extends physical access control beyond traditional cards and readers to provide a new level of security, portability and performance.
This platform initiates a significant transformation in how secure identity is delivered and managed by introducing technology-independent digital credentials that can be deployed for use on smartphones, microprocessor-based cards, contactless smart cards, USB tokens and related devices.
The second big focus is the convergence around physical security and mobile access.
Any mobile phone using INSIDE's SecuRead Near Field Communication (NFC) solution is iCLASS-enabled and can support iCLASS virtual credentials. The iCLASS virtual credentials themselves, as well as the credential management and crypto functions, reside in the secure element and can be provisioned and activated by HID Global.
There is a tremendous opportunity for NFC and iCLASS virtual credentials to transform not only the corporate mobile phone but also more consumer-oriented applications

What's your take on the current economic scenario?
The current economic scene is something we are keeping a close watch on, but for now we have not seen any slowdown in our projects pipeline. Yes, we do agree that domestic consumption would take care of any slowdown from global / MNC verticals and for this we have created a separate vertical-based team in India driving opportunity into Defence, Transport (Metro and Airports), Oil & Gas, Power, Manufacturing and Indian banks.
For HID, customer satisfaction is the core part of its marketing strategy. The company provides first level of customer service to the customers.
In course of time, the business policy and transparent marketing strategy of HID Global have prompted it to touch a new horizon. With its strong relationships with the leading manufacturers coupled with dedicated and experienced sales force team, the company is defining security and surveillance space.
Security Channel
Elaborating on the security channel landscape in India Nambiar says Security industry, when I call electronics security, access control, video surveillance, is, as such, not a very old one in India. The security channel is evolving and with the passage of time when the security solutions will acquire maturity, the channel will be reciprocating the same."
