Legal Compliance Manual announced

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) in association with Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd (Intel India) has launched a Legal Compliance Manual (LCM) in the presence of Honorable Chief Guest Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Corporate Affairs and Power, Govt. of India, in New Delhi. The Legal Compliance Manual, which will be available on the IICA website, is believed to be a reference Manual to help organizations remain compliant with applicable laws.
Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India said, “In an uncertain global scenario, it becomes pivotal to have a robust legal and compliance framework and I am hopeful that this initiative will provide a platform to small & large organizations to understand the importance of compliance and the significant role it plays in both strategic plans as well as their service quality. I applaud IICA and Intel India for this innovative approach.”
Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General & CEO, IICA, said, “Compliance obligations affect the whole spectrum of business from health and safety requirements, cafeteria hygiene to corporate filings and this innovative initiative will help SMEs by removing several obstacles preventing them to become compliant with law. IICA will work with Intel India in additional areas of research so that this manual becomes accessible to business across India.”
John Matheson, Director, Global Public Policy, Intel Technology Asia Pte. Ltd said, “We hope this initiative will make a substantial contribution in strengthening India’s compliance culture.”
