Optoma’s new Creative Touch 33 Series, manufactured in Gujarat, integrates AI and Google EDLA certification to offer interactive, user-friendly 4K UHD displays with advanced writing tech and educational apps, enhancing engagement across Indian classrooms in 65”, 75”, and 86” sizes
Optoma, a global leader in DLP projection and professional AV solutions, has launched its first ‘Made-in-India’ interactive flat panel display (IFPD), marking a key milestone in the company’s local manufacturing and education-focused strategy.
The new Creative Touch 33 Series, produced at Optoma’s manufacturing facility in Gujarat, aims to transform digital learning environments across Indian classrooms by integrating artificial intelligence with user-friendly features. Designed to enhance engagement between educators and students, the panels offer a more interactive and intuitive learning experience.
One of the major highlights of the new IFPD range is its Google EDLA certification, allowing educators seamless access to Google apps and services directly from the device. Teachers can download and use various educational apps from the Google Play Store, tailored for diverse curriculum needs.
The displays are available in 65-inch, 75-inch, and 86-inch sizes, featuring 4K UHD resolution, 8-core processors, and the latest Android 14 OS. A combination of advanced writing technology that mimics pen-on-paper interaction and AI-powered tools, such as handwriting recognition and digital sticky notes, supports a wide range of classroom activities—from brainstorming to quick quizzes.
Smart management for modern classrooms
Optoma’s OMS (Optoma Management Suite) Cloud offers centralized control, enabling IT administrators to remotely manage and schedule content, monitor device health, and ensure operational efficiency across institutions. The panel also includes extensive I/O connectivity, powerful 40W stereo speakers, and eye-care features like low blue light filters and flicker-free technology to minimize visual fatigue during extended use.
Complementing its hardware, the Optoma Solution Suite (OSS) InfoBoard serves as a digital bulletin board that can display announcements, assignments, and quizzes—contributing to more dynamic classroom interactions.
Speaking on the launch, Vijay Sharma, Managing Director of Optoma Technology India Pvt. Ltd., said the move aligns with India’s "Make-in-India" initiative. “These AI-integrated IFPDs represent our commitment to advancing education with locally manufactured, future-ready technology,” he stated.
Optoma’s entry into local production underscores the company’s confidence in India’s growing tech manufacturing ecosystem and its strategic focus on the education sector, where digital adoption continues to expand.
