Rubrik Maintains Leadership Position in 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Fifth Year

Cybersecurity firm Rubrik has been named a Leader in Gartner’s 2024 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions, marking the fifth consecutive year the company has earned this recognition, particularly for Completeness of Vision.

This consistent placement reflects Rubrik's efforts to address the growing challenges in data security, especially as recent global IT outages have highlighted the need for effective data protection strategies.

Gartner’s report notes that enterprise backup vendors are innovating in areas like ransomware detection, generative AI, and multicloud protection. These advancements are increasingly important as the industry looks to mitigate cyberthreats and ensure operational continuity.

According to Gartner's projections, by 2028, 90% of enterprise backup products will include embedded cyberthreat detection technology, up from less than 45% today. Additionally, three-quarters of these products are expected to use generative AI for management and support, and the same percentage will prioritize SaaS application backup as a critical need.
