In order to strengthen its manufacturing footprint in India, Salora has started manufacturing multimedia speaker systems at its art plant in Noida, where they are already producing a range of speakers for TVs, PA Systems, Cars etc.The Home Entertainment market in India has been growing at the rate of 20% annually and a sudden spurt in LCD/LED TV market has created a pull for Multimedia speakers to support the high definition picture with superior sound quality.
Gopal Jiwarajka, MD & CEO of Salora International said, “The move to set up a new manufacturing unit of Multimedia Speaker Systems is in synergy with our tradition to produce quality products to make Home Entertainment a more enjoyable experience. Our experience of manufacturing in Audio Video Technology for almost four decades, is being incorporated in these newly launched product lines.”
He added, “As there is a high demand in Multimedia Speaker Systems market aided by the growing demand of LCD/LEDs, the newly launched manufacturing unit will help us capture a sizeable share in the Home Entertainment market,”Salora further aims to achieve a target capacity of 50K units per month by the coming fiscal year. The company also plans to capture 15% share of multimedia speaker market in India.
