Backed by Cisco’s strong presence and partner ecosystem in India, Splunk aims to help organisations tackle growing challenges in data governance, cybersecurity, compliance, and real-time analytics amid the nation’s accelerating data explosion
At a pivotal moment in India’s digital transformation, Cisco-owned Splunk convened its “Leadership Forum” in Mumbai, showcasing bold ambitions to shape the nation’s digital future through AI, data intelligence, and operational resilience. The event, an exclusive media roundtable, introduced the firm’s top regional leadership and outlined a forward-looking strategy aimed at aligning with India's surging digital growth.
Leadership signals commitment to Indian market
Robert Pizzari, Group Vice President of Asia for Splunk, laid out the company’s vision for the “agentic AI era” — a new phase where artificial intelligence systems act with increasing autonomy, demanding unprecedented levels of digital resilience.
Alongside him, Prashant Chaudhary, Area Vice President for India, underlined the importance of India as a strategic growth market. “India is stepping into a decisive phase of Digital India, where the ability to harness data will define competitiveness,” he said. “With Cisco’s strong presence and Splunk’s agentic AI-powered offerings, we are helping Indian enterprises innovate with confidence and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s digital economy ambition.”
India's unique growth landscape is a catalyst
India’s digital infrastructure is expanding rapidly, with AI adoption already outpacing the global average — 30% of Indian organisations are integrating AI, compared to 26% globally. Splunk sees this momentum as a key inflection point.
Backed by Cisco’s longstanding footprint and extensive partner ecosystem in the country, Splunk aims to support Indian organisations as they navigate increasing challenges around data governance, cybersecurity, compliance, and real-time analytics — all in the face of exponential data growth.
From data chaos to AI-driven control
A standout announcement was the Cisco Data Fabric powered by Splunk, unveiled earlier at .conf25. Described as a transformative architecture, it is designed to turn machine data — logs, metrics, traces, events — into AI-ready intelligence. This move signifies a deeper integration of Splunk’s analytics engine with Cisco’s network infrastructure, promising customers secure, scalable, and actionable insights across hybrid environments.
Another key innovation — Federated Search for Snowflake — will allow Indian enterprises to query data locally without full migration to a centralized system, balancing latency, compliance, and cost-efficiency.
AI and resilience at the heart of the strategy
Splunk is betting big on agentic AI — AI that can act on behalf of humans in increasingly sophisticated ways. The company emphasized that digital resilience must evolve to support this shift. Key tools enabling this vision include:
· Splunk AI Assistant: Offers AI-powered query generation, summarization, and remediation guidance for security operations.
· Cisco AI Canvas (coming in 2026): A collaborative AI-driven “war room” that integrates with Splunk’s Machine Data Lake, enabling faster, insight-driven decision-making across teams.
Pizzari emphasized that the convergence of AI, data complexity, and rising compliance standards makes real-time operational visibility and resilience non-negotiable. “With Cisco, Splunk is redefining resilience for the AI era by empowering organisations to harness the value of their machine data with AI to modernize their security and IT operations, ensure compliance and leverage AI for business outcomes,” he said.
Strategic imperatives for Indian enterprises
Both executives highlighted that India’s competitiveness on the global digital stage will hinge on its ability to manage data intelligently. With AI adoption and regulatory pressures creating data surges, Splunk positions itself as a key enabler — particularly for sectors like BFSI, government, and fast-scaling startups.
The forum also made it clear: digital resilience is no longer a technical luxury, but a national strategic imperative.
