To promote its high-speed Wi-Fi services at the 2014 Auto Expo at New Delhi, Tata Docomo has announced a new initiative.
Avinash Gabriel, Chief Operating Officer, Tata Docomo Wi-Fi Business, said, “Tata Docomo Wi-Fi has created India’s largest public Wi-Fi hotspot by connecting the entire auto expo zone with its high-speed connectivity solutions. With an area of approximately 100,000 sq. m. spread across 16 halls, food courts, fine dining zone, media lounge and VIP zones, and an expected footfall of over 10,00,000 people, this is the single-largest area wi-fied by a single telecom service provider in India. What is more, Tata Docomo Wi-Fi has opened up this experience for all, by providing free high-speed Wi-Fi access for the first 30 minutes at the Expo.”
To support this experience, Tata Docomo Wi-Fi has implemented over 10 km of Fiber, 150+ access Points, and 100+ Network elements. Add to this, 300 Mbps of dedicated connectivity further segregated into 44 lease connectivity points of 280 Mbps, and an efficient support staff of 50+ personnel working round the clock for a hassle-free experience.
