What happened to the IGL data center, is there any malware attack ?

From last three days there is an security issue in the IGL datacenter’s as the data of the servers, Operating System(OS) including SAP got encrypted. Experts, says the chances of Ransomware can’t get ruled out . With this opening of any unwanted mail, attachment etc can invite dangerous and there is chances of data lose from your vault are on the higher side.

A message cames in the website,Attention:For an unscheduled maintenance of our servers,access to Customer Portal,Payment links,IGLConnect App and Chatbot is temporarily suspended.we regret the inconvenience caused.For any concern, please dial 18001025109.

There are various types of Ramsomware attacks, some ransomware asks amount for the data decrpyct and some ransomeware ,they just encrypt the files and leaves as it is. There is a challanging time ahead for the IT team of IGL.

Sources said, IGL already has a Disaster Recovery (DR site), if the security experts could succeed to decrypt the files, the transferring the data from the DR site to present site to take some time.
