Axis Communications launches explosion-protected cameras
Axis Communications has launched three series of its new innovation of new explosion-protected temperature alarm and thermal network cameras named as XF40-Q2901 Explosion-Protected Temperature Alarm Camera, XF60-Q2901 Explosion-Protected Temperature Alarm Camera, and XP40-Q1942 Explosion-Protected PT Thermal Network Camera in security camera services. The cameras allow operators to monitor remote, inaccessible, and sensitive areas, with the rapid incident response.
The camera series mainly aims to provide better security in sensitive industrial area. “Industrial plant operators have a difficult task as they need to ensure efficiency and continuity in large-scale, critical industrial processes, while meeting all health, safety and environmental regulations, across multiple locations and, often times, across large areas,” says Anthony Incorvati, Business Development Manager, Critical Infrastructure & Transportation, Axis Communications, Inc. “Axis’ new explosion-protected cameras can deliver critical real-time information that allows for immediate incident response which can be life-saving”, he adds.
Some salient features of Model XF40-Q2901 Explosion-Protected Temperature Alarm Camera and XF60-Q2901 Explosion-Protected Temperature Alarm Camera are, Control and detection of temperatures of equipment and leaks in pipes, fire detection, monitoring of equipment and perimeter protection. Visually inspect and verify functions and processes are running correctly while providing remote assistance with planned maintenance.
Also, with an add-on feature of pan and tilt, the model XP40-Q1942 supports Axis’ Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Zipstream technologies too. EIS improves video quality in situations where a camera is subject to vibrations by providing smooth and comfortable live viewing, while Axis’ Zipstream lowers the bandwidth and storage requirements respectively for the detection of people in restricted areas and safety of personnel in hazardous areas.
The cameras offer worldwide certifications and are expected to be available in the market from the starting of this month in the price ranging from $18,999 – $29,999, depending on the model.
