DB Systel GmbH deploys ADVA FSP 3000
ADVA Optical Networking has announced that its FSP 3000 has been selected by DB Systel GmbH to support metro and long-distance network applications. The frame agreement with system integrator AXIANS is based upon ADVA Optical Networking technology for connectivity solutions of multiple 10 Gigabit per second (10Gbit/s). This connectivity enables DB Systel GmbH to flexibly meet bandwidth requirements in its network.
DB Group offers mobility and logistical services and employs over 300,000 people in more than 130 countries worldwide. Its core business is German railway transport, which carries more than 5 million customers every day. Furthermore, DB Group has become a global provider of mobility and logistics services.

Applications supported by DB Systel GmbH include data center services, connection of ticketing machines, online bookings, sales and passenger information systems, schedule control, video surveillance and internal office communications.
