TRAE Launches ‘Design Mode’ Bringing AI-Powered Design and Prototyping to Every Professional

Design Mode launches in TRAE Work, giving professionals across every function the ability to generate design drafts, manage brand systems, and build interactive prototypes through natural language
TRAE (The Real AI Enabler), the AI work assistant built to bring advanced AI capabilities into professional workflows, today launched Design Mode in TRAE Work, giving professionals across every function the ability to generate design drafts, manage brand systems, and build clickable prototypes through natural language conversation. Historically only trained designers with dedicated tooling were able to create top-flight design materials. This same level of design is now accessible to product managers, developers, founders, marketers, and anyone who needs to visualize an idea or validate a concept without opening Figma or hiring a contractor.
With Design Mode, a product manager can describe a dashboard layout in plain language and receive a specification-compliant page in seconds. A founder can produce a polished, interactive prototype to share with investors without writing a single line of CSS. A designer can import an existing Figma design system and use it as the reference for every AI-generated screen, ensuring brand consistency across every deliverable. Setup requires no design background, only a description of what you need.
Design Mode’s core capability is AI conversational design generation. Users describe what they need in plain language, and TRAE generates a design draft with no professional skills required. From there, a visual editing layer gives users precise control over CSS properties through a GUI interface, enabling pixel-level refinement after the AI produces an initial draft. For teams with existing brand standards, Design Mode supports direct import from Figma, pulling in design systems, components, and assets so that every AI-generated page inherits the team’s established visual language rather than a generic template. A curated Design Library of renowned brand system templates is also available for teams starting from scratch.
Cross-mode collaboration sets Design Mode apart from standalone design tools. TRAE Work users can move fluidly between Work, Design, and Code modes within a single session. Requirements drafted in Work mode can inform a design in Design mode, which can then be handed to Code mode for development, all without changing applications or losing context. Design files export and import across modes with full context continuity, making TRAE Work the only platform that supports the complete workflow from requirement analysis and design drafts to coded output in one place.
Design Mode in TRAE Work is available starting June 25 at trae.ai .
