In further confirmation of its market leadership, Ericsson has been named as a leader in "Telecom Operations Management" based on a combination of licence, services and outsourcing revenue by analyst firm Gartner.
Per Borgklint, Head of Business Unit Support Solutions, Ericsson, said, "Over the past two years, Ericsson has made strategic acquisitions and investments to position the company as a market leader in telecom operations management. Today, we are very proud that Ericsson has been named the worldwide leader in Gartner's telecom operations management systems report and believe this was a direct result of our strategy and efforts."
Borgklint added, "Looking ahead, we anticipate that Ericsson's forefront position in the IP, LTE (Long Term Evolution) and self-organizing network technology domains will drive additional demand for telecom operations management system solutions and services, leading to prime involvement in major communication service providers' transformation programs."
According to Gartner's report, Ericsson has been ranked first worldwide for OSS (Operations Support Systems), BSS (Business Support Systems), Next-Generation Service Delivery and Provisioning solutions and services.
