MediaTek and Lenovo have announced the launch of VIBE X2, powered by the LTE True Octa-Core System on Chip (SoC) MT6595.
Sitting at the premium end of Lenovo’s device range, the VIBE X2 is made to cater to the modern multi-layered lifestyle, as reflected in the design. The first two layers are made up of its colourful cases and click-on accessories respectively, and the layer at the heart of the phone refers to the MT6595 encased within.
The MT6595-powered VIBE X2 validates MediaTek’s LTE platform as a high-quality solution and provides consumers with an additional LTE-enabled smartphone option that exudes superiority with its layered design and powerful True Octa-Core SoC.
“We are pleased to see our powerful MT6595 in Lenovo’s VIBE X2. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to enabling more LTE choices with VIBE X2 joining our growing list of LTE-enabled devices based on our portfolio,” said Ching-Jiang Hsieh, President, MediaTek.
“With the MT6595 inside the VIBE X2, we are further expanding MediaTek’s footprint in the global LTE market. We look forward to continuing our work with Lenovo to drive global LTE adoption,” said Liu Jun, Executive Vice-President, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo.
The VIBE X2 joins a growing portfolio of MediaTek-powered LTE smartphones, including the recently launched Vodafone Smart 4 power and the ALCATEL ONETOUCH POP S7.
