NEC has introduced NEC’s NeoFace Reveal solution in India for the first time as part of its public safety offerings. The solution was showcased at the annual Secure Cities 2014.
“We at NEC India are excited to introduce our innovative facial recognition technologies in India that can help strengthen homeland security measures in the country. NEC’s NeoFace Reveal solution has a strong global track record in successfully assisting security and government agencies in their law enforcement efforts against crime. Through our sophisticated technologies that can provide the needed intelligence to counter security threats, we look forward to partnering with agencies to ensure the safety of the public in India,” said Andrew Chi, Head, Public Safety, NEC India.
NeoFace Reveal is a software solution for forensic investigation and captures facial images of suspects from photographs and crime scenes, which are enhanced and encoded for matching against a mugshot repository. Other solutions that were showcased at the event include city surveillance, behavior detection and attendance management solutions.
