Netgear’s acquisition of Exium enables integration of Exium’s SASE platform into its portfolio, offering managed service providers and SMEs a comprehensive, next-generation network and security solution focused on simplicity, reliability, and cost efficiency
Netgear has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Exium, a cybersecurity firm, marking a strategic step in expanding its cloud-based solutions aimed at enhancing business connectivity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
This acquisition will enable Netgear to integrate Exium’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform into its existing portfolio, delivering a comprehensive network and security solution tailored specifically for managed service providers (MSPs) and SMEs. The move aligns with Netgear’s commitment to providing next-generation networking products that emphasize simplicity, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Industry research from Gartner projects that the SASE market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 29%, reaching over $25 billion by 2027, driven by increased demand for cloud-centric networking and security services. By incorporating Exium’s expertise, Netgear for Business aims to offer an all-in-one solution combining wired and wireless networking with integrated firewall and security capabilities.
Seamless AI-driven SME security
Pramod Badjate, President and GM of Netgear for Business, highlighted the importance of this integration, stating, “AI has transformed the cybersecurity landscape for SMEs, but existing solutions are often complex or fragmented. Integrating Exium’s SASE solution into our Insight cloud management platform will deliver a seamless, easy-to-manage experience for small IT teams and MSPs.”
Exium, founded with a focus on protecting SMEs from cybersecurity threats, brings a platform designed for rapid deployment and management. Farooq Khan, CEO of Exium, will continue to lead the solution and join Netgear’s leadership team. Khan expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting, “We share Netgear’s vision of building fully integrated network and security solutions to meet the unique needs of SMEs.”
This acquisition signals Netgear’s ongoing dedication to enhancing secure, cloud-based networking technologies and supporting the growing needs of SMEs and MSPs worldwide.
