TAIT explores biz opportunities with TATA
2011-04-21As part of a new kind of its go-to-market strategy, Tata Teleservices Ltd. (TTL), in association with the Trade Association of IT (TAIT), conducted a product awareness-cum-education programme for the partners. Around top 60 SIs of the city belonging to either mid-level or top- level attended it. The training included introduction to the TTL's range of products and solutions meant for SMEs.
Tata Teleservices Ltd. spearheads the TATA group's presence in the telecom sector. Today, TTL serves over 85 million customers in more than 450,000 towns and villages across the country, with a bouquet of telephony services encompassing Mobile services, Wireless desktop phones, Public booth telephony, Wireline services and Enterprise solutions.
“Our Tata Teleservices SME business aims to help the SME establishments build a world-class SME business ecosystem that focusses on an innovation-led growth by using technology as a business accelerator,” shares Rajesh Kovils, National Head Business Development -SME and Wireline Business, Tata Teleservices Ltd.
“The idea behind the meet is to educate the SIs of the city about our various products which can be clubbed together tabled to the customer as a solution. We see a lot of potential in the SME vertical across the country and across the business types,” Kovils elaborates further.
John J. Manavalan, Western Region Head Business Development - SME & Wireline Business, Tata Teleservices Ltd., added that they would be repeating similar exercises in the metros and the potential-rich tier-II cities like Pune and Ahmedabad in the following months.
Through such partner meets, the principal also aims at expanding its channel presence because not only it invites the existing on board partners for the meet but also new partners. Not only this, TTL also used the platform to share some details about their soon-to-be-launched Cloud services in the country.
