Could you tell us about the global presence of Versa Networks?
Versa Networks has got a global presence and we are present in 100 countries today worldwide. Our business is 100% channel driven and we sell through the VARs and resellers as well as service providers and system integrators.
Versa has a huge following in North America, specifically in the United States. We also have a great presence in EMEA and the Asia Pacific market. Within the Asia Pacific market, India is a very important region for us. We boast of close to 600 customers in India.
Please tell us more about your R&D capability?
Versa has its R&D presence across many locations. We are present in Silicon Valley, which is the heart of innovation. We also have our R&D presence in India’s Silicon Valley, which is Bengaluru and in Chennai. Besides, the other two countries where Versa has invested in its R&D capabilities are Canada and the United Kingdom.
Continuous innovation is driven by our largest R&D center in India, which focuses on embedding AI and automation deeply into our platform. For example, our AI tools like Verbo, which enables intelligent network orchestration, and Vani, our AI- powered threat detection engine, showcase how we leverage generative AI to enhance security and operational efficiency. This India-based team ensures we rapidly develop and deploy future-ready solutions that keep enterprises secure, agile, and ahead of industry disruptions globally.
Could you share with us the manufacturing capabilities of Versa globally and in India?
Most of Versa Network’s hardware are manufactured by Jabil in Pune (India) for worldwide distribution. We are also working with other suppliers within India, while we have some suppliers in Taiwan. So in a nutshell, most of our manufacturing takes place in India and then in Taiwan.
WHY VERSA? IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SIMPLICITY, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AUTOMATION, AND IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SELF-PROTECTION OF YOUR INFRASTRUCTURE, THEN VERSA NETWORKS IS THE SOLUTION TO LOOK AT. |
What is your competitive edge over the rest of your competitors?
Versa has a track record that speaks for itself. We have three key product lines, which we like to call it our three-legged stool. So we have SD-WAN, SASE, and Software Defined LAN. On top of that stool is our AI & ML platform. So the AI & ML technology permeates all the three use cases - SD-WAN, SASE and SD-LAN.
Versa is leveraging AI and data analytics within our Versa One Platform to deliver intelligent, automated, and secure networking. By unifying networking and security through a single, integrated platform, we simplify operations, enhance visibility, and enable faster decision-making—driving digital transformation, customer preference, and sustained growth in FY 2025-26.
In India, our platform is deployed at scale—from SMEs to large enterprises, and across sectors like government and BFSI— who have significantly benefited from its deep analytics and intelligent automation.
Versa has different competitors for different product lines. So for SD-WAN we mostly compete with Cisco, and Fortinet. For SASE, we compete with Palo Alto Networks and Zscaler. In SD-LAN, we do not have much competition as this is an entire innovative product line from Versa, though Cisco might come closer to being a competitor in this product line. Moreover, Versa's India-based R&D and Engineering team drives innovation in the company.
What is Versa’s vision for the next one year?
As far as Versa’s vision is concerned in terms of innovation, we aim to help our customers create their own self-protecting network. We envision this as the network which is protected automatically through our AI building blocks and it is self-healing. The network can understand anomaly and quickly fixes it without any human intervention. A human can also reinforce the learning that our solution has. So our whole job is to essentially have our customer create their own self-protecting networks.
