According to The Economic Times, web traffic to ChatGPT has shown noticeable fluctuations in recent months, while Google Gemini has maintained more consistent growth. The publication reported analytics data showing that although ChatGPT still leads in total usage, Gemini has steadily increased its share of generative AI traffic. This shift reflects a change in user engagement rather than a decline in ChatGPT adoption.

It's crucial to note that ChatGPT remains one of the most widely used AI assistants globally. Google can embed Gemini into billions of devices and services by default, while ChatGPT primarily relies on direct platform visits or enterprise integration agreements.
