HPE has unveiled major enhancements to its Juniper Networking portfolio, advancing the AI-native Mist platformwith new agentic AI capabilities. These innovations are designed to deliver more autonomous, proactive, and intelligent network operations, reducing IT complexity while assuring exceptional user experiences from client to cloud.
The upgrades strengthen HPE GreenLake Intelligence, the company’s next-generation autonomous IT strategy, by embedding specialized AI agents across networking, storage, and compute. This multi-layered architecture enables real-time troubleshooting, predictive optimization, and smarter decision-making, shifting IT from reactive to proactive management.
Rami Rahim, EVP and GM of HPE Networking, noted:“Today’s networks must do more than connect—they must understand, adapt, and act. With these new digital experience twin and agentic AI capabilities in Juniper Mist, the network becomes a proactive partner for IT, solving problems before they impact users.”
Key Innovations in Juniper Mist
Building on its AI-native foundation and the Marvis AI engine, the Mist platform now incorporates advanced capabilities to deliver deeper automation and assurance:
· Enhanced Conversational AI – Marvis AI assistant now leverages agentic AI to provide real-time, context-driven troubleshooting across wired, wireless, WAN, client, and application domains.
· Expanded Self-Driving Actions – The Marvis Actions dashboard can now autonomously remediate more network issues—such as misconfigured ports, capacity bottlenecks, and non-compliant hardware—while keeping IT in full control.
· Generalized Large Experience Model (LEM) – Unique to HPE Juniper, LEM analyzes billions of data points from apps like Zoom and Teams, enabling predictive troubleshooting. Enhanced with Marvis Minis (digital twins of user experiences), it can forecast application issues before they occur and optimize future performance.
· AI for Data Center Operations – The Marvis AI Assistant integrates with Apstra’s contextual graph database, delivering intelligent insights and supporting autonomous service provisioning. Marvis Minis extend into the data center for continuous validation and assurance of critical services.
HPE is uniquely positioned to apply agentic AI and AIOps across multi-vendor full stacks, spanning networking, compute, storage, virtualization, containers, and applications. These enhancements complement HPE OpsRamp, an AIOps-powered ITOM platform offering hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-premises observability, with advanced autonomous workflows for modern data centers.
Industry analysts view these advancements as a critical milestone. Bob Laliberte, Principal Analyst at theCUBE Research, commented:
“With its latest advances in agentic AI and GenAI, powered by Marvis, HPE is delivering true autonomous capabilities. These enable predictive intervention so operations teams can resolve issues before users even notice.”
For over a decade, HPE Juniper Networking has pioneered the use of AI in network operations. The latest Mist platform innovations extend this leadership, helping enterprises, cloud providers, and telcos achieve greater efficiency, reliability, and user satisfaction while accelerating the journey toward self-driving networks.
