Lenovo and Nutanix have announced a deepening of their strategic collaboration in India, aimed at building AI-driven cloud infrastructure tailored to the country’s rapid digital transformation. The announcement was made at Nutanix’s .NEXT on Tour 2025 in Mumbai, where both companies emphasized their joint commitment to supporting India’s ambition of becoming a global high-tech and AI innovation hub.
As part of its “Make in India for India” strategy, Lenovo has started manufacturing advanced servers at its Pondicherry facility, equipped with Neptune® Liquid Cooling technology to accelerate AI performance while cutting power consumption by up to 25%. These servers are integrated with Nutanix software, delivering sustainable, high-performance infrastructure for next-generation AI workloads, cloud-native applications, and edge computing.
To strengthen India’s AI ecosystem, Lenovo and Nutanix are offering the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) on Lenovo’s Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HX), enabling enterprises to seamlessly manage containerized workloads. This solution ensures persistent storage, disaster recovery, and data protection, empowering industries like BFSI, IT, and manufacturing to adopt AI with agility and confidence.
The companies are also driving adoption of joint solutions, including Lenovo ThinkAgile HX Series with Nutanix’s Enterprise AI and GPT-in-a-Box solutions. These innovations help enterprises run AI inference, training, and fine-tuning workloads efficiently, simplifying enterprise cloud deployments while optimizing performance for AI-driven business operations.
Speaking at the event, Amit Luthra, Managing Director, Lenovo ISG India, said, “India is fast emerging as a powerhouse in the global AI revolution. With Nutanix, we are delivering industry-first, liquid-cooled HCI appliances for GenAI, helping businesses achieve faster AI performance with cost efficiency and sustainability. With GPT-in-a-Box and servers built locally in India, we are enabling enterprises to scale their own AI factories from edge to cloud.”
Faiz Shakir, VP & Managing Director India and ASEAN, Nutanix, added, “Our long-standing partnership with Lenovo is empowering Indian businesses to accelerate their AI and cloud-native strategies while ensuring compliance and consistency across environments. Together, we are simplifying digital transformation and delivering enterprise-ready infrastructure to meet the demands of modern application development.”
Further solidifying their leadership, Lenovo recently won the APJ Nutanix OEM Award of the Year for FY25, highlighting the success of their joint solutions in powering India’s growing AI and hybrid cloud ecosystem.
