
Microsoft has announced the appointment of Rodrigo Kede Lima as the new President for Microsoft Asia, effective immediately. He succeeds Ahmed Mazhari, who has held the position for five years. Both leaders will work together to ensure a smooth transition through September 30, 2024.
In his new role, Rodrigo will oversee Microsoft's operations across 20 countries in Asia with a workforce of 30,000 employees. He is set to leverage his extensive experience in digital transformation to foster sustainable economic growth and unlock Asia's potential for innovation. Rodrigo will report to Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Microsoft.
Rodrigo joined Microsoft in 2020 and has since held leadership roles, including President for Microsoft Americas Enterprise and President for Microsoft Latin America. Prior to joining Microsoft, Rodrigo served as President of IBM Brazil and President for IBM Latin America.
He has a background in corporate finance and holds degrees from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and INSPER Institute, as well as executive education from Harvard Business School.
Rodrigo expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, emphasizing Asia’s potential to lead the world in the era of AI-driven digital transformation. Rodrigo has relocated to Singapore with his family from Greenwich, Connecticut.
