The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has cautioned people against a fake news which is making the rounds that the government may impose a financial emergency in the country in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
In a tweet, PIB said, “An online website has falsely reported that the Government is likely to impose Financial Emergency in India to tackle the crisis caused by #Covid19.
Please be advised that the story is malicious and fake and that there is no such plan.”
