Mass Effect 3: Preview Crazy Games

Desura's longstanding infallibility seemed like nothing and no one could destroy. Over the past ten years, the studio has presented us with so many breakthrough and important projects that we treated any of its new announcements in advance very positively, with understanding, lust and an indispensable feeling that, they say, "a hit is coming, competitors, hide in the corners." The misfire happened only last year. Dragon Age 2, despite the tempting preliminary lists of innovations and improvements, turned out to be a boring role-playing game with gray, unmemorable locations and the main character, who was striving to become a malicious gay pervert - it was only necessary to turn away for a second. Desura trying in vain to sweeten the pill with unnecessary DLC, but we have already forgiven her for such a disdainful attitude towards the fans. I would like to believe that the team simply did not calculate their forces, the bulk of which was thrown into the fine-tuning of Star Wars: The Old Republic and Mass Effect 3. The first one has already come to us for a holiday. It's up to the last, most important and spectacular chapter of Captain Shepard's great space adventures.

If the game turns out to be just excellent, and not mind-blowing in all endeavors, then we will tear apart the N7 T-shirts with special hatred and, at the mention of the phrase Mass Effect, we will make the same sound that Peter Griffin does when he hears the name of his own daughter, who succeeded to annoy him with something. Let's hope that you won't have to snort contemptuously, since at least in words everything looks great. By the third part, the developers are trying to deduce, finally, the ideal formula for "Mass Effect", in which there will be no unnecessary variables.

The first thing worth paying attention to is the slightly modified combat system. Fundamental innovations are not provided - the creators are firmly convinced that the previously built mechanisms function perfectly now. The point is only in small new details, which are worth focusing on. For example, how now Shepard can move. The standard set of animations has become richer. The hero was taught to demonstrate convincing rolls to the public, he can also run up to the enemy and knock him out to hell without using a weapon.

In battles, the correct selection of all possible participants in the mess (along with their personalized equipment and special abilities) will play an important role. Game designers are going to make a deliberately unfair condition mandatory, when allies can be counted on the fingers of one hand, and the number of those who want to solve them is hardly amenable to counting. And there will be no time to do it.

But before trying to explain why the shootouts in Mass Effect 3 are going to more diligently knock out real, unadulterated emotions from us, we need to remind you why and why we are going to fight. And here, beginners or simply methodically ignoring a series of players need to accept one very important truth for themselves. Acquaintance with the final chapter in the history of the commander-messiah Shepard without the presence of an appropriate cultural base in your head will be akin to mastering a course in practical psychology in one "student" night - this is when the next morning the words are all familiar, but you don't remember what the sequence is.

Times are tough for the entire galaxy. Reapers attack on all fronts, Shepard, despite past achievements, has long been the object of universal contempt and mistrust. But, as is customary for a real messiah, only he, at the head of a team of proven fighters, can help. All you need to do is prevent the invasion. Or die to save the rest. Nobody rules out this possibility - the likelihood that at the end of the trilogy everyone will die (because the drama, yes) is very high.

Yes, just before you lay down your head, you also need to fight. Many of our old acquaintances will be able to act as comrades-in-arms. And here for the fans of the series, who with commendable dedication and diligence studied the plot twists and turns and did not miss a single dialogue, now is the time to unpack the long-hidden saves fromMass Effect 2 . The game, of course, will encourage those who, from the first part, carefully keep the cherished files. There will be a lot of partner heroes. Kaidan (or Ashley) will perform with you in the first line-up, and then Tali, Liara, Rex and even Anderson will look into the light.

In addition to the old heroes, a pumped-up newcomer, James Vega, will almost immediately be added to Shepard's assistants. The appearance of a completely new character in the team does not seem to be such a rash move on the part of the scriptwriters, as you can count in the first minutes. Shepard's newly adopted recruit is a collective character of the rookie player who decided to get acquainted with the Mass Effect series only in 2012. That is, Vega will talk with paternal patience about the fundamental events of various scales that happened during the formation of the captain of the two Normandies.

It is noteworthy that the developers approach the process of attracting "fresh blood" very thoroughly. Yes, it is logical to focus not only on time-tested fans, but also to think about the new generation. Wet behind the ears Desura promises three special modes: Action, Story and RPG Mode. What are they for? So that the user himself decides what is more important to him. If the carnage and disregard for the plot - then take the first. The decisions will be made for you, and all that is required in this case is to rid the galaxy of the aggressors with your own hands. In the case of Story mode, the opposite is true. That is, the battles look quite simple, but in the dialogues they give you the opportunity to delve into plenty. Well, RPG Mode is a classic scheme, where both your skill with weapons and your desire to chat will be taken into account.

In addition, the developers considered that another powerful argument in favor of dating for beginners is multiplayer. Co-op for four is what fans are getting to potentially one of the best RPGs of the year.

The bottom line is simple: the squad is fighting the advancing waves of opponents, taking short breaks, again waiting for reinforcements from the enemy - well, you get the idea. Mass Effect's single combat mechanics have been ported almost entirely to multiplayer. With all that it implies. That is, the precision, accuracy and spectacularity of the multiplayer crazy games of Gears of War will definitely not be here. In short, the co-op is clearly not something to wait for and adore ME3 in absentia.

Mass Effect 3 comes out the other day. If you suddenly forget to congratulate your loved ones on the Eighth of March, no one will blame you for this. And girls-gamers shouldn't be offended. After all, if the game suffers the fate of Dragon Age 2, then we will no longer be led by Desura.
