Pegasystems organises second annual Pega Developers Conference

Pegasystems has organised its second annual Pega Developers Conference (PDC) at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC). The two-day conference, themed “Powering the Digital Enterprise”, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao, and the IT Minister of Telangana, Shri K. T. Rama Rao, along with Suman Reddy, Managing Director, Pegasystems India.

During the first day, interactive training sessions included Next-Generation Business Applications, and Building Mobile Enterprise Applications Faster, providing an immersion into Pega Technology.  The two-day conference, which also provides a talent enablement platform for Pega-certified developers, is designed to respond to the growing demand for Pega applications by improving the skills of current Pega-certified developers and introducing Pega to a fast-expanding community of interested developers. The conference also features insights from business visionaries to leverage agile technologies such as social, mobile, analytics and cloud to drive digital transformation in their global enterprises.

Endorsing the initiative, Shri K. T. Rama Rao, Minister of IT & Panchayati Raj, Government of Telangana, said, “It is a matter of great pride for the state and the city to be hosting a world-class forum like the Pega Developers Conference for the second consecutive year. The Indian IT industry is witnessing a transformation from traditional processes to becoming digital. A shift is also being witnessed as businesses around the world are evolving to more virtual and technologically advanced models. Hence, product companies play an important role for the IT industry and also in the generating incremental employment in the state and the country. We need to encourage more product companies to flourish and we’d like to see Telangana become the hotbed for innovation.”

The conference is being hosted in Hyderabad based on the city’s strategic location for the IT community in India. Hyderabad is also Pegasystems’ largest center and regional headquarters in India.
