Oracle has declared that it will help 200,000 Indian students receive training in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, and other cutting-edge technologies. Under the state's enormous skill upgrading project, Naan Mudhalvan, Oracle and Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation have created a specialist curriculum to give students in the state training that is related to employment.
"Tamil Nadu ranks among one of India’s top 12 states with a growing youth population. As part of our responsibility to provide youth and young professionals with a platform to upskill themselves and achieve their career goals, we launched Naan Mudhalvan,” said Tmt J. Innocent Divya, managing director, Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation. “We already reach 1.3 million students through this initiative and with Oracle, we hope to train over 200,000 of them on new technology skills that could have a positive impact on their future career opportunities.”
Teachers and academicians will deliver the training as part of the curriculum on campus. Specific modules will be offered as a digital learning experience through Oracle MyLearn, Oracle’s comprehensive training and enablement platform from Oracle University, used by thousands of trainees around the world. It will offer rigorous foundational training in cloud technologies, leading to professional-level training, certifications, and additional training that will be individually curated based on learning levels and educational goals. The programme will provide students and professionals with a foundation in cloud computing and a better understanding of other core concepts such as AI, ML, data science or blockchain.
“We are delighted to collaborate with the Tamil Nadu government and make a significant contribution towards the advancement of India's digital economy. Oracle’s Skills Development Initiative is designed to offer solutions to support government institutions, providing candidate training and job placement assistance to ensure the next generation of tech leaders receive the best possible education and support,” said Shailender Kumar, senior vice president and regional managing director, Oracle India and NetSuite JAPAC, “With Oracle certification recognized as an industry standard for professionals, it not only enhances knowledge but also validates skills sought after by employers, thereby enhancing job prospects and stability."
Oracle University provides access to some of the world’s leading technology experts and practitioners to support cloud technology training and certification worldwide. More than 20 million hours of Oracle University learning content have been viewed by learners globally, and the program has trained more than 3.1 million Oracle certified professionals in the global workforce.
