Apple has rolled out the sixth developer beta of iOS 26, along with updates for iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, and more. The update brings new ringtones, fixes a controversial Camera app change, polishes the interface, and even teases a potentially big AirPods feature that could make live translation a reality outside of calls and messages. The update also gives Apple’s Liquid Glass design a subtle glow-up.
In the ringtones, Apple has added six new ones, all based on its iconic 'Reflection' tone. One, called Dreamer, is already getting love online, with early testers calling it “crazy good” and “such a bop.” Some are even joking they might finally turn off silent mode just to hear it more often.
In the Camera app, while Beta 5 added a toggle to bring back 'Classic' mode, Apple has gone further in this release by bringing the swipe direction back to normal, and with the toggle gone.
The update also gives Apple’s Liquid Glass design a subtle glow-up. There’s more colour dispersion in tab selectors, improved readability, and the glassy effect has been extended to the lock screen and toggles. Animations feel snappier too, with faster app launches and smoother transitions, making the whole system feel a bit more polished.
