Apple iPhone SE 4th generation might come with Apple's own 5G modem, according to some recent reports.
Apple’s next-generation iPhone SE is expected to be the first iPhone to feature the company’s indigenous 5G modem. According to some reports, Apple is planning to replace Qualcomm’s modem with its own chip to handle connectivity in the next-generation iPhone SE.
The in-house 5G modem is expected to improve iPhone performance by offering better optimization and seamless integration with Apple’s hardware and software ecosystem. By designing its own modem, Apple can fine-tune it specifically for iOS, ensuring enhanced power efficiency, faster data speeds, and potentially a longer battery life for future iPhone models.
Besides own 5G modem, iPhone SE 4th Generation will boast a 48MP primary camera with a 12MP selfie camera. Also, it is expected to get an OLED panel with the same 2532 x 1170 pixel resolution and Face ID support instead of Touch ID.
While Apple isn’t going to launch the iPhone before 2025. According to leaks and rumours, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by an A18 chipset and would offer a big battery boost to the iPhone models. The phone is expected to give Dynamic Island a miss.
This move positions Apple as a more self-reliant player in the smartphone market and could lead to further advancements in its future products.
