Atlassian Corporation has opened an office in Bengaluru and appointed former Amazon and Walmart Labs executive Dinesh Ajmera as Head of Engineering and Site Lead to run its India operations. The company plans to grow the office into a world-class R&D and customer support center during the next several years and is ramping up hiring across engineering, product management, and design. As Atlassian's first location in India, this site will add to the company's growing global presence.
Atlassian is renowned for their collaboration and productivity software – including Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket and Trello, which help teams all over the world organize, discuss, and complete shared work. Lyft, Spotify, and NASA are among the more than 125,000 companies that use Atlassian’s collaboration products to help their teams work better together.
Speaking on the announcement, Dinesh Ajmera, Head of Engineering and Site Lead India Operations, said, “Behind every success is a team and Atlassian's mission is to unleash the potential of every team. Ajmera joined Atlassian in June and brings with him 18 years of global industry experience, including leadership positions at Blackbuck, Souq.com (an Amazon Company), Walmart Labs, Amazon, and Oracle. Ajmera has deep experience in leading teams that develop platforms for e-commerce, Online Marketplaces, Customer Experience, and Real-time Collaboration in markets across India, the U.S., and the Middle East.
