Bharti Airtel’s broadband CEO, Sameer Batra quits to join Amazon, Vir Indernath takes over

Sameer Batra who has spearheading Bharti Airtel’s broadband services has resigned from his position. As per his LinkedIn profile he has joined e-commerce giant Amazon as Director for Mobile Business Development.
He served Bharti Airtel for 14 years in different roles. Prior to broadband services, he headed Airtel's content service, Wynk, for almost two years. Before joining Airtel, Batra served BPL and Reliance Infocomm.
Under his able leadership Airtel consolidated its digital content services and launched Xstream service and devices.
At Amazon, Batra will build partnerships and alliances with telcos, broadband service providers and OEMs across Amazon’s core consumer services.
As per news reports, he has been replaced by Vir Indernath who was the Chief Executive of Retail Business at Airtel. Indernath is serving Airtel for almost 13 years and played various roles.
