We officially live in a hybrid, multi-cloud world. And it’s changing the game for IT. “In the old days, all the apps people needed to do their jobs were on their laptops. Now, some are local, some are in corporate datacenters, some are in the cloud,” Henshall said. “In extending Citrix Workspace to Google Cloud, we’re giving companies greater flexibility and choice in how they deploy the SaaS, cloud, and web apps their employees need to be engaged and productive and a simple, efficient way to do it.”
At citrix, we are delivering technologies that empower employees to work how they want while helping companies manage ever-increasing IT Complexity and implement broad digital transformation. Several announcements have made in this conference.

Citrix has announced various solutions to make the workspace smarter through next-generation intelligence capabilities that allow companies to deliver a unified and contextual experience across any device or network that engages employees and enables them to perform at their best. The enhancements were unveiled at Citrix Synergy, the premier digital work conference taking place in Atlanta this week.
“There’s a lot of noise in the workplace today that keeps us from doing what we want and are paid to do,” said PJ Hough, Chief Product Officer, Citrix. “At Citrix, our solutions are designed with one thing in mind: eliminate distractions so that people can focus on work that matters and do what they do best.”
In Box: Employees today deal with as many as 11 different apps a day to get their work done. And most of their functionality goes unused or makes tasks more difficult as employees spend too much time — almost 10 hours a week — searching for the information they need,” said Hough. “The overload and complexity hinder employee experience and lead to low levels of employee engagement. That must change.
Through Citrix® Workspace™, companies can provide single sign on access to all the apps and content employees prefer to use in one, unified experience, including out-of-the-box integrations with more than 150 enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workday, SAP Ariba and SAP Concur, ServiceNow, Microsoft Outlook and G Suite.
Planned integrations with the most widely used identity and access management providers, including Okta, Ping, Radius, and GoogleID, combined with Citrix Workspace security controls will enable them to deliver these apps more securely than operating them natively.
Work without Constraints
Most of us work from an average of four locations a day. Jack Gold, J. Gold Associates:
“Most workers have far too many apps needed to get their jobs done in an expeditious manner. With 10-12 apps regularly needed in any given day, and dozens more necessary to get all of their work done, it’s become increasingly burdensome for workers to interact with corporate systems”, says jack Gold President and Principal analyst at J.Gold Associates, LLC in Northborough, MA. “What’s needed is a change of mindset from computing with various unique apps, to a consolidated view of user productivity through unified workspaces that eliminate, or at least limit, the complexity of interacting with multiple apps to complete a task. Citrix Workspace is moving the user experience to a more holistic approach to getting work done by acting as the transparent agent to those interactions.”
The goal of any user workspace must be to make the overall experience as painless as possible, while also providing a consolidated approach to producing needed job related workflows that increase end user productivity. Citrix Workspaces goes a long way towards achieving that goal.” With Citrix’s move to a hybrid approach for access control and security, and particularly as its integrates support for both Microsoft and Google productivity suites in addition to allowing access via all the major cloud platforms, it is enabling many more enterprises and SMB companies. This is a good example of how vendors need to address the growing complexity of installed systems in organizations around the globe.
Bob O’Donnell, president and chief analyst, TECHnalysis Research
“Citrix’ strategy with Workspace matches real-world needs because it lets companies, and their employees, reign in the chaos of modern work environments and function in an easier and more productive manner where they can get real work done—regardless of the types of environments and applications they currently run.” “By bringing a News Feed-style interface to the new version of Workspace, Citrix is making working across multiple applications much more like a consumer-friendly application. That, in turn, can help reduce frustrations and increase productivity.”
Lee Doyle, Principal Analyst, Doyle Research
“In the highly complex IT environment with employees leveraging applications from multiple locations (premise, SaaS, and cloud), multiple devices and from any location, the network is critical to provide appropriate quality of user experience and security. Network elements, such as SDWAN and ADC can provide the intelligence to accelerate critical applications, link to multi-cloud environments, and block malicious security threats. The Citrix announcements improves its ability to deliver high quality and secure user experience for its customers.”
Lastly, organizations are moving forward in their journey to the hybrid multi-cloud with Citrix as their partner of choice. The Citrix Synergy 2019 witness various innovations, that will make the customers’ journey into the future of work more flexible and easier.
