Technology solutions provider, Cornea has announced its completion of vendor assessment by quality council of India and official approval from the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) to streamline the vendor participation process in tenders across India. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Cornea's efforts to enhance efficiency and transparency in government procurement.
With the approval from GeM, Cornea can now offer its state-of-the-art display technology solutions and expertise to vendors participating in tenders through the GeM platform. This partnership aims to provide vendors with a seamless experience, assisting them in navigating the procurement process efficiently and effectively.
Following a rigorous assessment, Cornea has obtained authorization to appoint dealers and distributors across the country for government tenders. This accomplishment sets Cornea apart from other brands in the industry, as many of them are mere importers without any manufacturing facilities in India. Unlike these brands, Cornea is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), which has faced challenges in complying with GeM's evolving regulations. However, the collaboration with GeM strengthens Cornea's position in the market.
This collaboration between Cornea and GeM will not only benefit vendors but also government organizations seeking reliable and innovative solutions. Through this partnership, Cornea aims to create a level playing field for vendors and ensure that the procurement process is transparent, efficient, and accessible to all. By leveraging its extensive network of dealers and distributors, Cornea plans to reach vendors across the country, enabling them to access its cutting-edge technology solutions such as Television, Interactive flat panels, Large format displays, Commercial screens etc.
In contrast to other companies, Cornea is one of the few OEMs based in India, solidifying its eminent position in the market. To uphold the quality standards on the GeM platform, all existing OEMs, including Cornea, will undergo an assessment by the Quality Council of India Bureau. This step ensures that vendors can trust the products and services offered through the platform, fostering a competitive and reliable marketplace.
"We are thrilled to receive approval from GeM, further reinforcing our commitment to simplifying the procurement process for vendors across India," said Ankit Garg, Director of Cornea.
The approval from GeM marks a significant milestone for Cornea, highlighting its dedication to simplifying the procurement process and promoting fair competition. By empowering vendors to participate effectively in government tenders, Cornea aims to drive economic growth and contribute to India's development.
