GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY has launched earlier this month their new 9 Series motherboards based on the Intel Z97/H97 chipsets with support for 4th- and 5th-generation Intel Core processors. Now, GIGABYTE has introduced several new additions to the Ultra Durable motherboards family.
“With these new 9 Series Ultra Durable motherboards, we’re making sure that customers can rely on GIGABYTE’s trusted quality and have a PC platform that will last, no matter what the future technological evolutions might be. In addition to supporting future 5th-generation Intel Core CPUs, we are also adding several features normally reserved for our higher-end motherboards including high-quality audio, networking and onboard overclocking, ensuring our customers will have a ‘future-proof’ platform,” commented Henry Kao, Vice-President of GIGABYTE Motherboard Business Unit.
Launching with 17 new models, GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 9 series motherboards sport innovative features geared to provide high-end performance, a safer computing experience and killer good looks. Including the latest transfer technologies such as SATA Express and M.2 connectivity, exclusive high-end audio features with the Realtek ACL 1150 115dB SNR HD audio, Killer E2200 advanced gaming networking, gold-plated hardware connectors and a unique appealing design, the 9 Series Ultra Durable boards are the PC DIY’s enthusiast must have motherboards.
The new Dual Thunderbolt 2 controller from Intel builds on the success of previous revisions, adding channel bandwidth aggregation to facilitate single channel transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbps, compared to a max of 10 Gbps on previous designs. This allows for incredible data transfer speeds when using high-performance storage devices, while also supporting daisy-chaining of up to 12 devices and triple digital display support.
