GIGABYTE GEForce 9600GT
By VARINDIA - 2010-03-10
Gigabyte GEForce 9600GT GPUs is a NVIDIA-based solution, which enables the consumers to optimize their PCs for improved performance with the latest operating systems, photo applications, mapping software, games and HD movies.
The Graphic Card is based on the 65nm G96 GPU and includes 512MB memory on 256-bit memory interface, and 64 1625 MHz unified share processors. In total, the card features 650/1800 MHz core/memory clock speeds, 57.6GB/s memory bandwidth and dual integrated display controllers.
The Gigabyte GV-NX96T512H-B graphics accelerator is compatible with the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture, thus maximizing the 5Gb/s PCI Express 2.0 bandwidth, enabling future-proof bridge to the future’s most bandwidth-hungry games and 3D applications.
NVIDIA’s latest advanced technologies including GigaThread technology, which, with the help of an extremely multi-threaded architecture, has the capacity to create thousands of independent, simultaneous threads, providing extreme processing efficiency for advanced, next-generation shader programs in the GigaByte GV-NX96T512H-B.
The GigaByte GV-NX96T512H-B supports the latest video output interfaces, including Dual Dual-Link DVI, for the highest dual 2560X1600 screen resolution.
The GigaByte GV-NX96T512H-B graphics accelerator is compatible with the new Driver support for Microsoft Windows Vista/9x/ME/2000/XP/XP MCE/XP Pro x64, Linux and Macintosh OS (including OS X).
The Gigabyte VGA Engineering Group has designed a revolutionary new VGA card cooling technology which utilizes natural convection inside the chassis to disperse heat. Gigabyte’s Multi-Core Technology delivers outstanding thermal performance with no fan noise.
GigaByte’s proprietary Turbo Force technology comprises T3 technology and V-tuner2 overclocking application.
* Performance Assurance Tuning: By using a special verification process to make sure the card maintains excellent performance during tough environmental conditions.
* Stability Tuning: Unique process to measure the chip feature of the GPU and leave enough margins to assure stability.
* Power Optimization Tuning: Set the best power balance for the selected clock to enhance product stability and avoid overheating. This is a great card, no way around it.
* Fantastic performance, which leads to a great value.
* Overclocking ability is superb.
* GigaByte does packaging and presentation right.
* Quiet running, fan noise is not too noticeable compared to system fans.
GigaByte’s attempt to custom the GEForce 9600 GT is a huge improvement over the reference board they pushed out at the launch day. Finally, the 2D/3D clock separation is another nice touch to reduce the power consumption and heat of the card when idling.
The new GEForce 9600 GT is probably the fastest for its segment now, taking over from the previous GEForce 8600 series and, without a doubt, eclipses the performance of the Radeon HD 3850.
From a technical point of view, the GEForce 9600 GT does not break new ground that we have not seen in the past as NVIDIA is basically reusing its successful architecture. What it, however, does is to extend the success of the G92 to the mainstream audience and give the relative success of the Radeon HD 3850. Since its launch, there is a large crowd of consumers just waiting to buy NVIDIA GIGABYTE GEForce 9600GT.
