Ahead of its October debut, Google will reportedly make the screenless fitness tracker, the Fitbit Air, available for sale in offline retail stores in India. An X user shared photos of the Google Fitbit Air available in several colour variants, and it's selling at a slightly higher price compared to its global price. Google has, however, not yet revealed the exact launch date, India price, or availability details for the device. The device was previously shown at a Made by Google India briefing.
An X user posted photos claiming to show the Fitbit Air already available in a retail store. The device appears to be available in three colours: Obsidian (black), Lavender (blue/purple), and Cherry (red). However, its retail availability and exact India colour lineup have not been officially confirmed.
In the post, the user also claimed that the device is selling for Rs. 16,000 in India. However, its global pricing is significantly lower. In the US, the Fitbit Air was priced at $99.99, which is about Rs 9,400.
The Google Fitbit Air is a screenless fitness tracker with a small “pebble” design. Since there is no display, users will not be distracted by notifications throughout the day. It is designed for continuous health monitoring, and offers features such as 24/7 heart-rate tracking, heart rhythm monitoring and AFib alerts, blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking, resting heart-rate monitoring, Heart-rate variability (HRV) tracking, and sleep-stage tracking.
All this data can be accessed via the Google Health app on their connected smartphone.
