The Google Store India currently offers Pixel Buds 2a replacement earbuds for Rs 6,499 and eartip sets for Rs 1,900, while the broader US selection suggests India may see more parts, including cases, in the future
Google has made it easier for Pixel Buds users in India to replace lost or damaged components without purchasing an entirely new set. The Google Store India now lists replacement accessories for the Pixel Buds 2a, allowing customers to buy individual parts such as single earbuds or eartip sets directly from the online store.
Previously, users had to fill out a self-service form on the Google Support page to request replacements. According to reports, this new update simplifies the process, eliminating the need to discard the full set if only one component is missing or damaged.
Available replacement components and pricing
Currently, the Google Store India offers two replacement items for the Pixel Buds 2a: a single replacement earbud priced at Rs 6,499, available for the left or right ear in Iris and Hazel colour options, and a replacement eartips set for Rs 1,900, available in Hazel. While these are the only Pixel Buds 2a components listed in India so far, the US Google Store offers a broader selection, including replacement earbuds, cases, and eartip sets for both the Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2. This suggests that Google may expand replacement options in India in the future.
Pixel Buds 2a: Features and specifications
Launched earlier this year alongside the Pixel 10 series smartphones and Pixel Watch 4, the Pixel Buds 2a are priced at Rs 12,999 and available in Iris and Hazel. The earbuds feature 11mm custom dynamic drivers, active noise cancellation with Google’s Silent Seal 1.5 technology, and a transparency mode. Designed for comfort, they include a pressure-relief fit, Bluetooth Super Wideband support, dual microphones, and wind-resistant mesh covers for clear voice calls.
Powered by the Google Tensor A1 chip and utilizing Bluetooth 5.4, the Pixel Buds 2a offer up to 10 hours of playback without ANC, or seven hours with ANC enabled. With the charging case, total playback extends to 27 hours without ANC and 20 hours with it, ensuring long-lasting use throughout the day.
This move by Google underscores the company’s focus on improving user convenience and sustainability, allowing customers to replace only the parts they need while extending the lifecycle of their Pixel Buds.
